The Wine Shop at Lightfoot & Wolfville is currently open daily from 10 AM-6 PM. Our knowledgeable Hospitality Team will happily assist you with selections from our portfolio of currently available wines, merchandise and local gifting items.
We are continuing to offer complimentary local delivery within Nova Scotia in the Halifax, South Shore and Annapolis Valley areas (orders of 3 bottles + minimum). Local delivery orders can be placed through our online shop.
Please note that we have moved to an appointment based tasting model and strongly recommend pre-booking your tasting experience online or by phone at 902-542-7774. Our outdoor Tasting Terrace is currently open daily with tasting times available between 11 AM and 5:30 PM. Your private tasting will be guided by one of our knowledgeable Tasting Experience Hosts, while overlooking the picturesque Minas Basin. On rainy days tastings will be moved inside our spacious Tasting Room with ample room for physical distancing and the same great view.
Our summer patio restaurant, led by Chef Brady Bertrand, centres around a wood-fired pizza oven and features ingredients sourced directly from the Lightfoot family farm and gardens. Please note that seating is outdoors on our open-air patio or under our sailcloth Marquee Tent. To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all, we’ve reduced our seating capacity for summer 2020 to allow ample room for physical distancing. Reservations are strongly recommended and secure you a space under the marquee tent in the case of inclement weather.
- Do I need a reservation for the restaurant?
If you plan to dine with us we strongly encourage you to make a reservation. While we always keep some space open for walk-ins, we often reach capacity, especially on the weekends. For summer 2020 we have reduced our capacity due to COVID-19 to ensure we exceed the physical distancing protocols. A reservation guarantees you a table under our covered Marquee Tent in the case of inclement weather.
- Are you dog / pet-friendly?
According to Nova Scotia Health Regulation, dogs are not permitted within food licensed areas. This means that we are not permitted to welcome guests with dogs inside our facility or on our patio areas. Guests are welcome to walk their dogs on leash in the grassed vineyard areas, away from the serviced areas, but please note that we are not able to serve wine or food to guests with dogs in any area.
- Are your tastings by appointment only?
Please note that we have moved to an appointment based tasting model and strongly recommend pre-booking your tasting experience online or by phone at (902) 542-7774. We are also happy to book you in for a tasting at the winery, but please keep in mind that walk-in availability may be limited. We ask that all groups arrive 10 minutes prior to their reservation to allow time to allow our Concierge team to welcome you.
- What safety measures have you put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19?
At Lightfoot & Wolfville, the safety and comfort of our guests, staff and community is always our top priority. We have implemented several new safety procedures and policies such as, but not limited to: enhanced sanitation and hygiene practices, with access to hand sanitizer and hand washing stations throughout the facility, the addition of two new concierge and custodian roles, installation of plexiglass barriers in close contact areas, a reduction in capacity and addition of physical distancing markers throughout the facility. Our staff are wearing face coverings (their choice of mask or shield) whenever six feet distancing cannot be achieved. Staff have also received robust safety training regarding sanitation, physical distancing and understanding the symptoms of COVID-19 symptoms.
